Three times olympic champion and one of the most outstanding figures in the history of the athletics Jan Zelezny decided to sell his javelin, track shoes and jersey which he wore during the European Championship in Göteborg (where he won the bronze medal).

The auction begins on the 4th December 2006 and was arranged by on-line daily Aktulane.cz which closed media partnership with Jan Zelezny.

The javelin was used by Zelezny on the Grand Prix in Quatar in Doha. Jan Zelezny wore the jersey during the Championship in Göteborg and the track shoes were specially made for Jan Zelezny in „Zelezny edition“. The winner of the bid will be known on the 13th December 2006. Handover of the articles will be done on the 15th December 2006 in NetCentrum, s.r.o., Drtinova 10, 150 00 Prague, Czech Republic. The winners of the auction must take over the articles in person.


Proceeds from the auction will Jan Zelezny appropriate to the youth athletes in Mlada Boleslav (where Jan Zelezny´s path began).

    Conditions of Attendance at the Auction of Jana Železný & NetCentrum, s.r.o.
    (henceforth only „Conditions“)


    Article I. – The Auction of Jana Železný & Aktuálně.cz (NetCentrum, s.r.o.)
    The on-line daily is the organizer of the auction, which it prepared in cooperation with the auction portal Aukro.cz. Jan Železný donated objects to be auctioned; they can be seen on the pages Jan Železný’s Auction (henceforth only „objects“). NetCentrum, s.r.o. is authorized by Jan Železný to put these objects up in an e-auction, sign a sales contract, as well as rescind a sales contract, and release the auctioned objects to the buyers, whereas the purchase price will be paid directly to the bank account of TJ Auto Škoda, athletics department (acct. nb.: 816400-584/0600).


    Article II. – Registration of Participants, Sales Contract Proposal
    A condition of participation in Jana Železný’s auction is the participant’s registration at the auction. Aukro thus suggests submitting proposals for a sales contract. A registered participant has the right to propose a sales contract for an auctioned object by filling out a sample for a proposal and sending it by fax to the number +420 225 378 104 or e-mailing it to the address simona.matouskova@akltualne.cz; if a proposal for a sales contract is not sent, participation in the auction will not be possible.


    Article III. – Specifications of the Object for Sale, Designation of the Purchase Price
    In the proposal for a sales contract the registered user will fill in the object for sale by putting down its label and auction number, listed by the specific auctioned object. The amount of the final purchase price will be determined in the e-auction, when the registered participant is authorized through bidding to propose and repeat the purchase price depending on the proposals of the other users. In the list of auctioned objects on the pages Jan Železný’s Auction the offer of the current highest price will be made public.


    Article IV. – The Length of Jana Železný’s Auction
    The auction will take place from 4.12.2006 to 13.12.2006. During this time the registered user is authorized to send a proposal for a sales contract (article II of the Conditions) and propose a purchase price (article III. of the Conditions). On 13.12.2006 at 16:00 the auction ends.


    Article V. – The Reults of the Auction, Sales Contracts
    Aukro has the right to sign a sales contract with the registered participant who proposed the highest purchase price through a bid. NetCentrum, s.r.o., as the agent of the seller, will notify this participant in writing (via e-mail or fax) of the acceptance of the proposal for a sales contract without unnecessary delays after the end of the auction, at the latest by 14.12.2006.
    Aukro reserves the right to rescind the bid of anyone who is not properly registered or didn’t send a properly filled out form for a proposal for a sales contract.


    Article VI. – Payment of the Purchase Price, Transfer and Acceptance of Auctioned Objects
    The participant, with whom a sales contract has been signed, is obligated to pay the purchase price in 2 days from the day of the end of the auction. If the participant does not pay the purchase price within this deadline, NetCentrum, s.r.o. is authorized to rescind the sales contract and sign one with the participant whose proposal for a purchase price (bid) was the next in line.
    The objects will be transfered in person on December 15th, 2006, at the price listed in the description of the auction, to the address: NetCentrum, s. r. o., Drtinova10, 150 00 Praha 5.


    Article VII. – General Regulations
    If it isn’t established otherwise in these Conditions, the conditions – Smlouva Aukro – will be used.
