Submarine coat, Grey Steerhide It took us more than 2 years to complete the authentic replica of the leather jacket worn exclusively by the commanders and officers of the Deutsche Kriegsmarine (German Navy) U-Boot Waffe. During WW2 from 1939-1945 these submarines were mainly deployed in harsh weather conditions in the Atlantic and Biscayan Sea. It was our goal to keep the jacket as authentic as possible using the best quailty materials available. Our U-Boot coat is made from 100% soft steerhide, lined with a warm inner fleece and is complete with storm cuffs within the sleeves for extra wind protection. The buttons on the jacket are 100% Metal Kriegsmarine which have the orignal anchor featured, they also have a counter button on the inside for more stabilty. Behind the collar we have also included the RZM stitching identical to the original. The U-Boot Coat was worn by top guns such as Erich Topp (the red devil), Adalbert Schnee, Guenter Priem (the bull from Scapa Flow) and decorated commander, Heinrich "AJAX" Bleichrodt.
