Yellow 'Waisted' Vase by Jan Schmid for Sklo Union Rosice , 1960s

Overview -Iconic 'waisted' vases produced by Union Sklo -Rosice hand-pressed glass -Amber glass -Designed by Jan Schmid, 1960s -Glass art, glass sculpture, and a little bit of history! This iconic vase is beautifully elegant in its proportions. The visual effect of the lobes around the body is accentuated by the pulled waist. The waist is slightly above the center line cleverly grounding the design. Designed by Jan Schmid, hand pressed by Rosice Sklo in 1963. These vases were produced in two sizes- this is the shorter vase. Height 15cm (5.9") Ø 7cm (2.7") Color: amber Condition: good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Please be aware of the fact that my items have been pre-loved, and pressed glass is manufactured with some imperfections like original bubbles or creases which give the special character of each product. As you can see in the last pictures, its yellow sibling is also available. Shipment: I will pack your item very securely into a cardboard box filled with shredded paper and bubble foil.
