The AXAGON PCES-SH4 SUPERSPEED HYPERDUO PCI-Express controller will add four independent high-speed SATA 6G channels to your desktop.

Two SATA channels can be routed using jumper either to a pair of external eSATA connectors or to internal SATA connectors.

A controller throughput up to 10 Gbit/s thanks to the use of two lines of PCI-Express bus version 2.0.

The Marvell HyperDuo technology allows the SSD and HDD to be combined into one affordable virtual disk offering high performance and high capacity.

The ARM-based processor of the controller supports the hardware RAID reducing the CPU load while operating the disk array.

Input:  
• PCI-Express 2.0 interface, PCI-Express 1.0a / 1.1 / 2.1 / 3.0 compatible.
• Number of 2-Lane (x2) lines, compatible with x4 / x8 / x16 PCIe slots.
• A bandwidth of 2-Lane PCI-Express 2.0 bus is 10 Gb/s.

Output:
• 4x independent Serial ATA port, SATA III 6G standard.
• Two channels with an output to internal SATA connectors and two channels with an output either to external eSATA connectors or internal SATA connectors.
• Supports all SATA I / SATA II / SATA III optical drives, SSDs and hard disks of all capacities.
• HyperDuo technology, RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10 disk array.

HyperDuo technology:
• The HyperDuo technology developed by Marvell combines the benefits of fast SSDs and cheaper hard disks with high capacity.
• By setting the HyperDuo mode in the controller's BIOS or in the Marvell Storage Utility app, a virtual hybrid disk will be created - one logical partition.
• Two options for HyperDuo mode setting: SAFE Mode backs up SSD data to a hard disk (similar to RAID 1), CAPACITY Mode connects the SSD and HDD storage capacity together.
• SSD stores the most commonly used data (HOT files), either automatically selected by the controller’s algorithm or predefined by the user in the Storage Utility app. Other data (COLD files) are stored on the hard disk.
• The HyperDuo hybrid disk reaches up to 80 % of the SSD's performance according to the selected mode.

Support for SATA disk array configuration in RAID 0, 1, and 10 modes:
• RAID 0 (stripping) - lower security but higher performance thanks to alternating multiple disk writing, min. 2 disks are needed,
• RAID 1 (mirroring) - increased security by writing identical data to two HDDs, min. 2 disks are needed,
• RAID 10 (mirroring+stripping) - combination of stripping and mirroring, fast and safe, less economic, min. 4 disks are needed.
• Configure an array either directly in the BIOS of the controller or using the Marvell Storage Utility in Windows.

Supported operating systems:
